About Nicholas Portell
Dr. Nicholas Portell, OD, was born and raised in the St. Louis area. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Missouri State University and completed his doctoral training at the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry. During his clinical rotations at UMSL, he spent time at well-regarded practices in the St. Louis and Southwest Missouri areas and at The Villages Veterans Affairs hospital in Florida. After serving patients in the Kansas City area, Dr. Portell is excited to return to St. Louis. In his free time, Dr. Portell enjoys golfing, playing softball, spending time with family, and watching the Cardinals and Blues.
