April M. Brun, OD

April M. Brun, OD, is a full-scope optometrist in Navarre, FL, where she also grew up. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University with a degree in Biology. She attended the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry and graduated in 2011. Upon graduation, Dr. Brun moved back to her hometown and has enjoyed serving the community she grew up in.

Dr. Brun has been with Clarkson Eye Care since 2017 and has particular interests in pediatrics, myopia management, glaucoma, macular degeneration and dry eye management. She cares deeply for her patients, and her practice philosophy is to “treat each patient like family.” Dr. Brun is married to her wonderful husband, and they have two amazing children. In what little free time she has, she enjoys eating great food, baking, family movie night and going to church.

Currently, Dr. Brun holds the esteemed title of Area Medical Director at Clarkson Eyecare, a position granted by the Medical Executive Board at EyeCare Partners. In this role, she helps hold our expert eye doctors to the highest standard and assists in onboarding our new optometrists. In 2025, she was honored as one of Vision Monday's Most Influential Women in Optical.
