Samuel R Hargus II, O.D.

Dr. Hargus worked for 4 years in the contact lens research lab at Indiana University and developed a passion for solving complicated contact lens solutions that meet the extensive demands of today’s most complex contact lens patients. A former collegiate baseball player himself, he understands the broad range of visual performance needs our patients demand and enjoys the challenge of providing state of the art visual solutions. Dr. Hargus not only fits common soft contact lenses most patients are familiar with but also fits scleral, gas permeable, toric and multifocal contact lens designs.

Dr. Hargus also developed experience in pathology working for 4 years in rural Hart County Kentucky. He is therefore very knowledgeable when it comes to managing glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

In his free time, Dr. Hargus enjoys spending time with his family, running and trying different coffee shops.

Dr. Hargus is excited to join Clarkson Eyecare Shepherdsville and looks forward to serving the residents of Bullitt County for their eyecare needs.
