Samantha Claxton, OD, graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, Health, and Society. She received her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN and graduated as Salutatorian.
During optometry school, Dr. Claxton was a part of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and Gold Key Honor Society. Afterward, she completed an additional year of residency training in ocular disease, glaucoma, and surgical co-management at Minnesota Eye Consultants in Minneapolis, MN.
Dr. Claxton has traveled to Costa Rica and Jamaica for optometric medical missions with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband and family, and is actively involved in her church.
