Drew Swem, OD

Dr. Drew Swem is a Florida native who grew up in Navarre. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from the University of West Florida in 2021. He then attended Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science IN 2023 and a Doctorate of Optometry in 2025.

During his training, Dr. Swem gained clinical experience in all aspects of optometry, including specialty contact lenses, the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease, as well as pediatric eye care and vision correction with glasses.

Dr. Swem recently returned to the area and is excited to be joining the Clarkson Eyecare team. He sees patients at both the Davis Highway and 9 Mile Road locations in Pensacola, FL.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Swem enjoys drumming, game nights with family, and spending cozy evenings at home with his wife and two cats. He is passionate about patient care and takes a comprehensive approach to eye health—considering how the eyes connect to and reflect overall well-being.
