Shannon Trinh, OD, is a comprehensive optometrist in Frisco, TX at Clarkson Eyecare. Dr. Trinh, originally from sunny Central Florida and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science. She worked in hospital laboratories for two years before making the decision to apply her medical background into a career that would allow closer interaction with patients, leading her to pursue optometry. Dr. Trinh brings energy and compassion into the exam room with her enthusiasm for patient service and advocacy for eye health. With a background in healthcare, she is excited to serve the North Texas community through her knowledge of treatment and management of ocular disease.
She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree through the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Trinh returned home to Dallas-Fort Worth for her externships at the Fort Worth Community Eye Clinic and Frisco Eye Associates, where she served a diverse population of patients and honed her specialties in ocular disease, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, contact lenses, and dry eye treatment.
When outside the office, Dr. Trinh loves to spend time with her family, go on long walks with her dog, long-distance run, and travel. She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Texas Optometric Association (TOA), and Northeast Texas Optometric Society (NETOS).
