Dr. Michael Rohde, OD, has been practicing comprehensive optometry for nearly 40 years. Dr. Rohde first attended Valparaiso University, where completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry. He was then accepted to the University of Missouri in Saint Louis (UMSL) College of Optometry. While in optometry school, Dr. Rohde conducted research in the areas of contact lenses and corneal physiology and was the co-author on three publications during that time. Dr. Rohde graduated second in his class and received awards for outstanding achievement in contact lens research and clinical skills.
Dr. Rohde volunteers and serves on the board of the eye care charity, Eye Thrive, which has provided eye exams and glasses to over 20,000 children in the St. Louis Metro area who could not otherwise afford eye care or glasses. Dr. Rohde has been on several Medical Mission trips to the Dominican Republic with The Pujols Family Foundation and plans to continue serving in the future.
Dr. Rohde currently provides eye care and eye exams in St. Louis, MO at Clarkson Eyecare, where he is currently accepting new patients.
