Executive Management Team

		Lawrence J. Jehling, O.D. Founder/Co-Chairman Dr. Lawrence Jehling graduated Cum Laude from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1978 and founded Clarkson Eyecare in 1979. Dr. Jehling is a past vice-chairman of the Barnes Eyecare Network of the Division of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Washington University School of Medicine. In addition to private clinical practice, Dr. Jehling has served on the boards of numerous companies and charitable organizations in the greater St. Louis area during his career. Dr. Jehling is married to Dr. Lynette S. Lui and they have three children.
		Gerald R. Jehling Co-Chairman of the Board Gerald Jehling received his MBA in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Missouri, and his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis.  He worked at P.N. Hirsch & Company, Inc. for twelve years, and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for seventeen years before joining Clarkson in 1987. In addition to being co-chairman of Clarkson Eyecare, Gerald is the CEO of Heptest Laboratories, Inc. He and his wife have three children and five grandchildren, and currently reside in Wildwood.
		William T. Jehling President William Jehling received his bachelor’s degree in Science as well as his MBA from the University of Dayton. He began his career with Emerson Electric where he held an array of Executive Management positions, including President of the Aftermarket Motor Division. Bill joined Clarkson Eyecare in 1999 as Chief Operating Officer and was named President and CEO in 2006. He established The Clarkson Eyecare Foundation in 2004 and is active in the non-profit arena across a variety of organizations in St. Louis. Bill enjoys golf, outdoor activities, boating and cooking. Bill has four children and resides in Wildwood with his wife.
		Anthony G. Nunn CFO Anthony Nunn graduated on the Dean’s List with an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He also received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Illinois – Champaign/Urbana. Anthony was a member of Alpha Delta Phi social fraternity and Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity while in school. He spent 13 years at Emerson Electric in Marketing and Finance before starting with Clarkson in July of 2000. In his spare time Anthony enjoys spending time with his family, sailing, reading and golf. He resides in Wildwood with his wife Linda, his son Josh, and his daughter Alexandra.
		James J. Wachter, O.D. Chief Professional Officer Dr. James Wachter graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1991. He began his optometric practice at Clarkson Eyecare after completing a residency in hospital-based optometry in Boston and teaching at the New England College of Optometry. He was elected Clarkson Eyecare corporate treasurer in 1995.
		Amanda J. Ditch VP of Operations Amanda Ditch received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Missouri, where she was the treasurer of the Tri Beta Biological Honor Society. She then graduated Cum Laude from the Keller Graduate School of Management. Amanda has worked for Clarkson Eyecare since 1996, and was named among Vision Monday’s 40 Most Influential Women in Optical in 2010. Amanda lives in St. Charles with her husband and three children.
		Cynthia M. Muessig VP of Finance Cindy Muessig graduated Cum Laude from Missouri Valley College with a degree in Business Administration & Accounting. Cindy was also the treasurer for Alpha Xi Sorority while in college. She worked in public accounting for ten years, including work for Stelmacki, Cochran & Sauerberger CPA firm. Here Cindy prepared Clarkson’s tax returns for four years before coming on board at the corporate office in 1999. Cindy resides in Weldon Springs with her husband and two sons.
		Ann Gifford Director of Operations Ann Gifford graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville with a degree in Psychology. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta social sorority and a prominent volleyball player while in school. Before beginning her career with Clarkson Eyecare in 2002 Ann worked at Learning Tree Preschool and as a Regional Manager for Things Remembered. Today she is a member of the Junior Service Club of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon. Ann has five children and currently resides in Edwardsville with her husband.
		Tesha D. Peel Director of Marketing Tesha Peel received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Missouri St. Louis, before graduating from Lindenwood University with a master’s degree in Marketing. She began working at Clarkson in 2004. Tesha is currently the Director of The Clarkson Eyecare Foundation, serves on the Marketing Committee of Ronald McDonald House Charities, and has been recognized as one of Optical’s Most Influential Women by Vision Monday magazine. She and her husband reside in St. Louis.
		Kristina L. Caldwell VP of Office Support Kris Caldwell received her Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems from South Western Illinois College. She recently completed a Health Information Technology program specializing in Workflow Redesign at STLCC, Forrest Park. Kris began her career at Clarkson Eyecare in 1997, and is currently a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Executives (AAOE). Kris is a Certified Medical Office Manager, a Certified Ophthalmic Coding Specialist, and is also enrolled at STLCC in the Health Information Technology Workforce Program. She resides in South County with her husband and two sons.
		Kerri L. Beers VP of Corporate Operations Kerri Beers began her career with Clarkson Eyecare in 1988 working with Dr. Jehling at the original Ellisville location. She has been with Clarkson every step of the way in the company’s expansive growth process. Kerri enjoys reading, water sports, and hanging with her dog. She currently resides in Ballwin.
